I started this page as a place to put my answers to various questions I get asked as a vExpert and storage guy. I’ll also use it for reviews, tips and tricks as well as scripts I find useful.
I’ve used VMware in production since 2001, got my first VCP (3) in 2007, my second (4) in 2009 and in 2010 became a VMware Certified Instructor. In 2011 I added VCAP-DCA (4) and in 2012 added VCP5 and VCAP5-DCA. I’m also a NetApp Certified Expert, MCSE 2003 with Messaging and Security Specializations, IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert (Blade servers, High-Performance Servers and Director), Certified Netware Engineer and I have a Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification from the Illinois Department of Public Health. I also slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
My main focuses will be virtualization and clouds including the tools to manage and the hardware required. I have lots of other interests (photography, motorcycles, travel, family) so I reserve the right to go off topic whenever I want. Oh, and bad puns are always free. Not always punny, but always free.
